The global spread of English has positive as well as negative influences on Asian countries. As we know most of countries of Asia have been the colony of British Raj, so they have quite linguistic imperialism view of English language. since globalization of English came into being there are a lot of advantage like improvement in standard living, people are more interested to develop their self and standard for living standard life. The second impact on countries is that it increases the chances of competition among different Asian countries like technological competition between China and south Korea. China has got success in the era of globalization. 

In 2004 China has considered as the world’s third largest exporter of goods and services after US.  China’s annual economical growth is 10 percent while Vietnam’s 8 percent. India ‘s economical growth is 8 percent. Similarly, for Indonesia’s 6 percent, and Philippines is same 6. Malaysia is about 5.5, Singapore same. Thailand and Korea have 4.5 percent.

Globalization of English language opens the gates of international trade and business which is proved as beneficial of many countries. It boosts up the economies of many Asian countries like Korea and Singapore. It provides us job mobility and foreign scholarships for students. But Global spread of English language has also negative influence because it creates a gap between rich and poor. Like in our country English medium schools are too expensive, middle class people cannot afford their children to study in private sectors, so it creates a kind of economic inequality between two classes.
