#Linguistics English in Asia: 

English has been spread all around the world. In Asia it was spread due to colonialization of British Raj, as the most countries of Asia like India and Pakistan were the colonies of British empire. Later, it was spread by the prominence of America in world affairs. 

English in Asia is very important nowadays. Moreover, it is working language of global communication across the continent. According to report round about 350 million people use English for different purposes across the region. English becomes very popular in Asian countries due to effects of colonialization. As we all are non-native speakers of English language, so we feel comfortable when we are communicating with each other. 

In Asia now, English is not considered as a linguistics imperialism rather they own English language. Asian shows positive attitude for English as their own language. Filipino poet Gemino Abad once said, "The English language is now ours. We have colonized it too.". The outer circle of Englishes as considered as Asian societies as they have been part of British raj, such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
